Driving Directions
On the way to a show in Manchester Dave was driving the van but was having problems finding the club, as time was starting to get on he pulled over to ask for directions from a guy who was loading his car by the side of the road. Dave stopped right next to him and asked if he knew where the club we were trying to get to was, after a brief exchange Dave was on the way knowing exactly where he had to go.
In the end we made it to the club with plenty of time to spare. The show went really well and as usual we were all knackered after the performance and decided to stay the night in the van rather than trying to drive home.
Waking the next morning we all decided to grab breakfast at a nearby cafe before hitting the road again. Dave started the van and off we went for grub. As the cafe was pretty close to the club we ended heading out of town on the same road we drove in on the day before, Dave – being a bit of a comedian – happened to see the same guy who had given us directions to the club standing by the side of his car. Bearing in mind at least 15 hours had passed since we asked him for directions, Dave slowly pulled the van over next to him, wound down his window and said; “Excuse me, did you say a right or left turn at the first junction?”.
The guy looked up and his jaw dropped, at which point we drove off and left him standing there with a bewildered look on his face. 😉
